5 Players Arsenal could still get for free

With Arsenal already spent over £150 million in the transfer market, we take a look at some players Arsenal could still get for free to strengthen their team.

The North London Club were the biggest spenders in the Premier League this summer, they are still allowed to sign free agents player to their squad, should they wish to…

Arteta have bring in young talented players with the likes of Nuno Tavares, Albert Sambi Lokonga, Ben White, Martin Odegaard, Aaron Ramsdale and Takehiro Tomiyasu all under the age of 23 and there is clearly a precise transfer strategy being carried out by Edu.

However, those signings have significantly little to no impact on the current Arsenal squad as there is little to no changes in their first team squad.

Though, it is clear the Gunners are going through a period of transition and this will not necessarily be a quick fix as the fans desired.

Arsenal are guilty of lacking some experience in recent weeks losing all three opening Premier League games without scoring a goal.

There are still some worthwhile solutions hanging freely in the transfer market even though it is clear Arsenal won’t dive into the free agents market.

List of Players Arsenal could still get for Free

Jack Wilshere: One player currently without a club that could really inspire the young talent at the Emirates Stadium is Jack Wilshere, who finally left Arsenal for West Ham in the summer of 2018.

Things didn’t work out for Wilshere in east London due to injuries but he has been fit since January 2020.

Drogba: Willian, Luiz And Cech Were Chelsea Agents At Arsenal

Serge Aurier: The Ivorian, who just left Tottenham Hotspur after terminating his contract now has no club as he’s currently a free agents player.

Gunners are lacking quality at right-back and Aurier, for all his faults can be an asset on his day with his experience. Though the possibility is very slim.

Javier Pastore: The Argentine has been linked with Gunners over the years but the 32-year-old is now up for grabs on a free transfer following spells with PSG and more recently, Roma.

Pastore coming in would help drive the standards in the dressing room and on the training pitch at London Colney.

David Luiz: Another deal that may seems incredible but unlikely. David Luiz is still yet to find a new club after leaving Arsenal earlier this summer.

With Arsenal defenders all struggling to get back in a good shape, Luiz’s experience could help strengthen Arteta’s options in reserve at central defence.

Though, Arteta is unlikely to hand him a second chance at the club but for all his faults, Luiz is a better organiser and defender than the current defenders…

Sergio Romero: The former Manchester United goalkeeper is still in search for a club following his departure from Old Trafford last season.

The Argentine could help keep Bernd Leno and Aaron Ramsdale on their toes.
