Arsenal confirm signing of ex-Chelsea winger Willian on a three-year deal
Arsenal have finished the siging of Brazilian winger Willian following his takeoff from Chelsea.
The 32-year-old’s appearance was affirmed on the Arsenal’s Twitter account on Friday morning, August 14, after he marked a three-year contract that will see him gain £220,000 seven days at the Emirates Stadium. He will wear the No 12 shirt for the club.
Armory administrator Mikel Arteta stated: ‘I accept he’s a player that can truly have any kind of effect for us.
‘We have been observing him for as far back as not many months, we had an unmistakable expectation to reinforce in the assaulting midfielder and the winger positions [and] he is a player that gives us a great deal of flexibility, he can play in three or four unique positions.
‘He has the experience of everything in the football world yet to even now have the desire to come here and add to bring the club where it has a place.
‘I have been truly intrigued with all the discussions I have had with him and the amount he needed to come.’
Heavy weapons specialists Technical chief Edu stated: ‘I know him well overall, since quite a while back in light of the fact that we’ve been cooperating for the Brazilian national group and obviously I was tailing him since he played for another club.
‘He has a great deal of awesome traits as an individual, as a football player obviously, his character.
‘I’m 100 percent sure that everyone in the changing area, the fans, myself and Mikel will appreciate having Willian in our side.’
Willian who joined Chelsea from Anzhi Makhachkala in 2013, won two class titles, the FA Cup, the EFL Cup, and the Europa League before moving to Arsenal.
