Arsenal is delaying a transfer of this defender to Serie A

Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin has agreed to join Inter Milan, but according to Sempre Inter, the Gunners are not willing to let him go that lightly.

“Hector Bellerin still wants to transfer from Arsenal to Inter, and his agency is seeking to persuade the Gunners to soften their attitude and agree to the Nerazzurri’s suggested terms for a trade,” according to Italian reports cited by Sempre Inter.

“This is according to SportMediaset, an Italian broadcaster, who claim that the Spaniard’s representative will be in Milan soon to resume talks with Inter about his client’s predicament.

“However, conversations between the two clubs about a possible transfer have stopped, with the Gunners not believed to be amenable to the Nerazzurri’s proposed loan with option to buy formula.”

Is it possible that Arsenal will refuse to let Hector Bellerin leave?
Hector Bellerin’s role at the club has waned throughout the 2020-21 season, therefore it was inevitable that the club would sell him during the current transfer window.

However, according to the source, Arsenal will only allow the right-back to depart on a permanent basis or if the loan agreement includes a buy-back clause next summer.

Inter Milan are planning to buy Hector Bellerin as a replacement for Achraf Hakimi, and the Gunners are refusing to decrease their demands because Hakimi was sold for a high transfer fee to PSG.

PSG spent £54 million for the right-back, indicating that Inter has cash on hand, which explains why Arsenal is unwilling to budge.

The North London club already has Cedric Soares, therefore they are not concerned about bringing in a replacement, whereas Inter Milan will need to bring in Hector Bellerin to cover the vacancy.

We believe Hector Bellerin will be allowed to depart before the deadline, but the Serie A club has no choice but to comply with Arsenal’s requests in order for the move to go through smoothly.

According to reports, Mikel Arteta has already decided on Cedric Soares as his first-choice right-back for Arsenal’s first Premier League match of the season in 2021/22.
