Kidnappers demand food in place of hostages

Bethel Baptist High School in northern kaduna was plagued by gunmen and more than 100 students were rescued. The vice principal Wakili Madugu said that the school officials informed that initially 140 students were taken hostage while 26 including a teacher was rescued.

 

The kidnappers contacted the school using the head boy’s phone and it was confirmed that 121 students were abducted while 28 students were rescued and released to their parents.

 

The gunmen were asking for food so as to feed so as to feed hostages. “The kidnappers asked for rice,beans,oil and seasoning  to feed the students”.

 

Currently the school authorities are yet to decide the next line of action.
