Lockdown: Man Jumps From Onitsha Flyover In Suicide Attempt
A moderately aged man barely got away from death on Saturday in the wake of tumbling off from Upper Iweka Fly Overbridge, Onitsha, Anambra state.
The man was said to have endeavored suicide around 4.15 pm after supposedly hopping down from the flyover following updates on complete lockdown by the state government.
An inhabitant of the zone who favored not to be referenced said he saw the body of the man lying dead while driving pass the region.
“They said the man simply ended it all by hopping from the Upper Iweka Flyover quickly he had updates on all out lockdown by the Anambra state government today,”
Responding, police representative, Haruna Mohammed, excused the supposed suicide report, saying the casualty was as yet alive.
He stated, “At about 4:20 pm date, a man of about 30years old whose character is yet to be determined purportedly missed advances and tumble down from the flyover at Upper Iweka.
“Police watch group joined to Okpoko Division visited the scene and hurried casualty to Toronto emergency clinic for clinical consideration.
“Casualty is reacting to treatment and examination is progressing to find out the genuine reason for the occurrence.”
