Lukaku hails Jorginho

Chelsea striker, Romelu Lukaku has described his new teammate Jorginho, as a ‘really good’ player after spending the last few weeks training alongside the Italian midfielder.

Lukaku returned to Stamford Bridge from Inter this summer in a club-record deal, seven years after leaving the club for Everton, Manchester United and then the Italian giants.

Now 28-year-old, Lukaku found the back of the net on his second debut for Chelsea away to Arsenal.

He was also part of his Belgium national team that were defeated by Italy in the quarter-final of Euro 2020.

“I see someone like Jorginho every day now. That guy is really good at football,” he told VTM Nieuws.

“I also played two years against Insigne, who plays at the top of his game. They were all top. Tactically, we were outclassed [against Italy], but also football-wise. And that hurt.”

The Brazilian born Italy International Jorginho, became only the tenth male footballer to win both the Champions League and European Championship in the same year.

He is also a top contender for this ballon d’Or award having won the UEFA player of the year award recently.
