One crushed to death in fatal accident in Anambra (photos)
One individual was squashed to death in a fatal motor accident along Nanka-Agulu street, Anambra state on Friday August 14.
The mishap which happened around 6.30am in the middle of the two scaffolds at Agulu Lake, included a Mack Trailer with enlistment number RUM646XA. The driver apparently lost control of the vehicle following extreme speeding.
Representative of the state police order, Haruna Mohammed, who affirmed the episode to newsmen, said
At about 5:30am today, a Mack Truck with REG number RUM 646 XA driven by yet to be distinguished individual and weighed down with Diesel, lost control while attempting to arrange a sharp twist close Agulu lake connect and slammed inside the shrubbery. Thus, the diesel spilled on the ground and the truck conductor (name yet obscure) whose body was eviscerated following the mishap, kicked the bucket on the spot .
Police agents drove by DPO Neni Division SP Asadu Uche and other Sister Security Agencies immediately prepared to the scene and cordoned off the Area to forestall any fiasco. Fire Service was similarly on ground to forestall fire episode.
In the mean time, the casualty was taken to ST Joseph Hospital where he was confirmed dead by a clinical specialist and body saved at the funeral home for protection.
