Pregnant Woman In Labour Dies At Police Checkpoint Over Facemask
Furious young people, on Thursday, arranged a substantial dissent in Abigi, Ogun State, following the demise of a pregnant lady, Mrs Opeoluwa Waidat Adedeji, at a police checkpoint, Bossvibe has learnt.
Bossvibe assembled that the irate dissidents, who raged the Abigi Divisional Police Headquarters, accused police keeping an eye on the checkpoint for her demise. The mother of six lost her life while in transit to the medical clinic for conveyance.
The perished pregnant lady was being raced to the emergency clinic on a cruiser by two men when they were confronted at the Sowore River checkpoint.
The police asked why they were not wearing face veils and furthermore not complying with the social separating request of the state government.
The police supposedly deferred the trio on a bike, refering to the progressing limitation of development over COVID-19, yet later permitted them to go after understanding the lady was draining plentifully.
Adedeji, notwithstanding, surrendered the phantom before getting to the clinic, provoking the irate young people of the network to storm the police base camp with the remaining parts of the dead lady, demanding that cops were answerable for her passing.
